Deanna Ranlett

Deanna has been working in clay for 12 years. Her work is primarily focused in abstract slab sculpture.  Deanna’s work is about form and line paired with a soft crystalline matte glaze to allow the viewer to interact with touch as well as meditative thought. The sculptural landscapesn created by Deanna provide a visual playground and an active viewing space.  Working with soft slabs allows the clay to flow and move and sometimes the clay determines the piece and what comes next.  Deanna has been part of the local ceramic community working in the ceramic supply business and now owning her own store – Atlanta Clay. Atlanta Clay has been serving the clay community for 3 years now.
